Starbright Jack and Slipaway Mervyn collided soon after the start. Talkin' Palmer and Slipaway Mervyn collided approaching the first turn. Optimiste, Sweet Adi, Trish The Dish and Macklemore collided approaching the first turn checking Trish The Dish. Sweet Adi galloped on the heels of Macklemore approaching the home turn severely checking Macklemore which stumbled as a result. Slipaway Mervyn checked off Trish The Dish approaching the home turn.
Macklemore was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left shoulder. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
