Stewards spoke to Mr David Pryse, the trainer of Dami Gal, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Dami Gal last raced on 23 November 2016 and is returning after a broken left hind toe and a change of kennels.
Jaso was slow to begin.

Boston You Essay crossed to the rail at the 250m mark, colliding with Moody Ruby, Jaso, Little Written and Nick, checking Jaso and severely checking Moody Ruby, Little Written, Nick and Boston You Essay variously until the 200m mark. Urban Enforcer faltered at the 150m mark and lost ground.
