A pre-race sample was taken from Bob's Gift upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
A pre-race sample was taken from Beluga Diamond.
Fear Fire, Snow Mistake and Bob's Gift were quick to begin.
Carve faltered soon after the start and took no further part in the event. Gee Callan checked off Beluga Diamond approaching the first turn. Paula Mechelle checked off Snow Mistake entering the home straight. Snow Mistake checked off Gee Callan in the home straight.
Carve was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right triangle and left back muscle injuries, a 28 stand down period was imposed.
