Mumma's Meatloaf and Chantilly Beauty were quick to begin.  Quick Finance and Joraddi were slow to begin.

Sisco Rocco and Lady Green collided approaching the first turn checking Lady Green and causing Lady Green to brush the running rail.  Why Not Dawn and Quick Finance collided on the first turn causing both greyhounds to race wide.  Lady Green and Why Not Dawn raced wide in the home straight.

Mrs Johannsen declined to have the greyhound re-vetted.

Stewards spoke to Mrs E. Johannsen, the handler of the greyhound Kept In Suspense regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Kept In Suspense with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mrs Johannsen pleaded guilty to the charge, Kept In Suspense was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Carve was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right triangle and left back muscle injuries, a 28 stand down period was imposed.

Blanford Babe was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hamstring and left hind spike wound injuries, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
