Stewards spoke to Ms. T. Womann, kennel representative of Picture's Pearce regarding the length of time the greyhound had between races. Picture's Pearce last raced on 20th January, 2017. Ms. Womann stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a dislocated toe.

Lochinvar Kors was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a torn toenail on the right foreleg, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Flyrite and Leo's Gift were quick to begin.  Striker Light and Zinzan Brooke collided approaching the first turn.  Zinzan Brooke checked off Matt Machine on the first turn.  Lucky Chap checked off Flyrite on the first turn, checking Matt Machine and Zinzan Brooke and severely checking Lucky Chap.  Zinzan Brooke checked off Blackpool Chuck in the home straight.

Lucky Chap was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right quadriceps and right monkey muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
