Stewards spoke to Mr Ashley Kelson, the trainer of the greyhound Keep On Sippin' regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Keep On Sippin' was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left sartorius (pencil) muscle; a ten-day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Keep On Sippin' with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Kelson pleaded guilty to the charge; Keep On Sippin' was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

MEETING COMMENTS

Satisfactory Trial Results -Tiger Bite Turbo trialled over the 450m from box one, weight 29.2kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of four. The time of the trial was 26.28, the greyhound won by a margin of 1L. Tiger Bite Turbo was cleared.
