Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr S Collyer, the trainer of Lebron Slam, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Lebron Slam last raced on 28 December 2016 and is returning after a spell. Mr Collyer also declared a new weight of 36.2 kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Lebron Slam last raced at 35.0 kgs.
A pre-race sample was taken from Artic Blaze.
Aruma Girl was quick to begin. Good Wick and Trademark Bliss collided soon after the start. Arctic Blaze checked off Liscoyle Lady on the first turn, checking Liscoyle Lady and Oriental Ginger; Oriental Ginger faltered and lost ground as a result. Arctic Blaze and Windmills collided on the first turn. Good Wick and Trademark Bliss collided approaching the home turn and again entering the home straight, checking Good Wick.
Oriental Ginger was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right foreleg wrist injury, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
