A pre-race sample was taken from Fawn Pursuit upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
Oakstar was slow to begin. Serious Bolt and Sachi collided approaching the first turn. Don Lesta and Fawn Pursuit collided approaching the first turn. Don Lesta, Fawn Pursuit and Bigshow Jethro collided approaching the first turn, severely checking Fawn Pursuit. Don Lesta checked off Bigshow Jethro approaching the home turn. Don Lesta and Bigshow Jethro collided entering the home straight.
Fawn Pursuit was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
