Stewards spoke to M. Heydon, the trainer of Ksenya regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Ksenya last raced on 5 October 2016 and is returning after a tendon injury. Mr. Heydon also declared a new weight of 29.2 for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Ksenya last raced at 28.0.
Blue Squirrel was slow to begin.
Mister Blue, Blue Squirrel and Massive Attack collided soon after the start checking Blue Squirrel. Dr. Balboa and Ready Jet go collided at the 300mtr mark.
