G. Johnson, Trainer of Sly Deception declared a new weight of 29.8 for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Sly Deception last raced at 30.9.

Jupiter Asending and Peter Knocka were slow to begin.

Sly Deception, Senor Sensation and Colombian Coffee collided at the 300mtr mark and again at the 250mtr mark checking all three greyhounds.  Sly Deception, Jupiter Asending, Senor Sensation and Colombian Coffee collided approaching the 200mtr mark checking Sly Deception, Colombian Coffee, Jupiter Asending, Peter Knocka and severely checking Senor Sensation.  Sly Deception and Colombian Coffee collided at the 50mtr mark.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr. K. Howat, the Trainer of Peace On Earth regarding his late arrival on course to kennel the greyhound, pursuant to GAR 31(2).

From The Shadows was quick to begin and crossed to the rail soon after the start.  Peace On Earth was slow to begin.  Furious Trump and Top Alcohol collided soon after the start.  Peace On Earth crossed to the outside at the 250mtr mark and collided with Off Ya Rocket.  Manticore and Keisha's Fantasy collided at the 200mtr mark.  Off Ya Rocket checked off Peace On Earth at the 150mtr mark.  

Manticoe was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right monkey muscle injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr B. Pell, the Trainer of Manticore regarding the greyhound’s racing manners at the 200mtr mark.

Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr P. Wilson and reminded him of his responsibilities regarding his late arrival to the kennels to prepare Off Ya Rocket for racing, pursuant to GAR 46(1). Stewards also issued a warning to Mr P. Wilson regarding Off Ya Rocket's boxing manners.

Jaso checked off Glib Lightning soon after the start.  Remembering Dad and Cailah Rose collided at the 250mtr mark.  Dr. Colt checked off Milly O'Muffin at the 250mtr mark.  Peninsula Panda and Blue Deception collided at the 200mtr mark.  Remembering Dad and Cailah Rose collided at the 200mtr mark.  Glib Lightning checked off Remembering Dad approaching the 100mtr mark. Peninsula Panda and Glib Lightning at the 50mtr mark.

Spectroscopic was quick to begin and crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Arashundi, Elram Girl, Anita's Girl, Kayla Lass and Whacker Fancy.  Starface and Arashundi were slow to begin.

Stewards spoke to M. Heydon, the trainer of Ksenya regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Ksenya last raced on 5 October 2016 and is returning after a tendon injury. Mr. Heydon also declared a new weight of 29.2 for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Ksenya last raced at 28.0.

Blue Squirrel was slow to begin.  

Mister Blue, Blue Squirrel and Massive Attack collided soon after the start checking Blue Squirrel.  Dr. Balboa and Ready Jet go collided at the 300mtr mark.  Dr. Balboa checked off Ready Jet Go at the 250mtr mark.  Canya Keato checked off Mister Blue at the 250mtr mark.  Mister Blue checked off Blue Squirrel at the 200mtr mark.  Blue Squirrel and Ready Jet Go collided at the 100mtr mark. 

Stewards spoke to F. Kirkham, the trainer of Fleet Return regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Fleet Return last raced on 15 December 2016 and is returning after a front right leg injury.

Bourbon An Kahn crossed to the rail soon after the start checking I've Got Wings, Fleet Return, Vista Bandit, Mix Off Harmony and Blue Westmead.  I've Got Wings checked off Bourbon An Kahn at the 300mtr mark and collided with Mix Off Harmony.  Tweedle Dee and Yenderra Blue collided at the 250mtr mark.  Blue Westmead and Bourbon An Kahn collided at the 250mtr mark.  Tweedle Dee and Yenderra Blue collided several times from the 150mtr to the 50mtr mark checking Tweedle Dee.

Kingsley Boy was slow to begin.

Star's Big Boy, Astute Glib, Petite Senorita and Cash Car Star collided soon after the start.  Astute Glib and Petite Senorita at the 250mtr mark.  Sundance Lad and Kingsley Boy collided approaching the winning post.

Petite Senorita was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was a minor laceration to the left foot, no stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to S. Quinlan, the trainer of Sharina Gun regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Sharina Gun last raced on 11 December 2016 and is returning after a back-muscle injury and change of trainer.

Don's Racer was a late scratching at 10.32am on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to a triangle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Sharina Gun.

Busted Flat was slow to begin.

Tommy Two crossed to the outside soon after the start checking Hydra and Sharina Gun.  Busted Flat checked off Dozer Lad at the 250mtr mark and raced wide.

Sharina Gun was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
