Stewards spoke to F. Kirkham, the trainer of Fleet Return regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Fleet Return last raced on 15 December 2016 and is returning after a front right leg injury.
A pre-race sample was taken from Vista Bandit.
Bourbon An Kahn crossed to the rail soon after the start checking I've Got Wings, Fleet Return, Vista Bandit, Mix Off Harmony and Blue Westmead. I've Got Wings checked off Bourbon An Kahn at the 300mtr mark and collided with Mix Off Harmony. Tweedle Dee and Yenderra Blue collided at the 250mtr mark. Blue Westmead and Bourbon An Kahn collided at the 250mtr mark. Tweedle Dee and Yenderra Blue collided several times from the 150mtr to the 50mtr mark checking Tweedle Dee.
