Ms M.Turner, trainer of Jimmy Who declared a new weight of 30.8kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Jimmy Who last raced at 32.0kg.

A pre race sample was taken from Go Lakers Go.

Carry On Rose and Moore Of Darcy were quick to begin. Sonny's Tas and Heleray Steele were slow to begin. Heleray Steele and Go Lakers Go collided soon after the start, checking Heleray Steele and Sonny's Tas. Happy Hour and Go Lakers Go collided approaching the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Jimmy Who galloped on the heels of Moore Of Darcy on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Happy Hour and Go Lakers Go collided on the first turn, checking Happy Hour, severely checking Go Lakers Go and causing Heleray Steele to race wide. Sonny's Tas eased approaching the home turn, severely checking Happy Hour. Jimmy Who and Heleray Steele collided entering the home straight. 

Happy Hour was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

Stewards spoke to Mr D.Warburton, the trainer of the greyhound Sonny's Tas regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Sonny's Tas was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to both triangles, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Sonny's Tas with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Warburton pleaded guilty to the charge, Sonny's Tas was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a),  before any future nomination will be accepted.
