Steward's Report
A pre race sample was taken from Sketchy Nick.
Haristotle was quick to begin. Jimmaringle, Canis Regis and Back Country were slow to begin. Jimmaringle checked off Bushman's Poem on the first turn, causing Jimmaringle to stumble. Zipping Jane clipped the heels of Haristotle on the first turn, severely checking Haristotle. Haristotle and Bushman's Poem raced wide approaching the home turn. Johnny Boy, Sketchy Nick and Jimmaringle collided approaching the home turn, checking Jimmaringle. Back Country raced wide entering the home straight. Haristotle galloped on the heels of Sketchy Nick in the home straight, causing Sketchy Nick and Haristotle to collide as a result.
Haristotle was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left deltoid and left groin, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards issued a warning to Mr W.McMahon, the owner of Haristotle regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the home turn and in the home straight.
