An Out of Competition sample was taken from Aston Regas engaged in this event on 8 March, 2016 pursuant to GAR 79A.

An Out of Competition sample was taken from Aqua Cheetah engaged in this event on 8 March, 2016 pursuant to GAR 79A.
An Out of Competition sample was taken from Still The One engaged in this event on 9 March, 2016 pursuant to GAR 79A.
Aqua Cheetah, Hukanui and Jive Time collided soon after the start. Edge Of Eden crossed to the outside soon after the start checking Hukanui, Jive Time and Avatar Jet. Aqua Cheetah and Avatar Jet collided approaching the second turn. Hukanui checked off Jive Time approaching the second turn. Mepunga Tyler galloped on Still The One entering the back straight checking Aqua Cheetah, severely checking Still The One causing Mepunga Tyler and Avatar to fall and Still The One lost considerable ground and tailed off as a result. Jive Time eased on the third turn checking Aqua Cheetah.
Mepunga Tyler was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left fore and left hind spike wounds, no stand day period was imposed.
Still The One was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
AvatarJet was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the right fore toe and right fore stopper bone, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Borg the trainer of the greyhound Jive Time regarding the greyhounds racing manners onthe third turn. Jive Time was vetted and re-vetted following race 12. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to left hind leg muscle soreness ,a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Acting underGAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Jive Time with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr J. Borg pleaded guilty to the charge,Jive Time was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform aSatisfactory Trial (all tracks)pursuant toGAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
