Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr.G.Carr, the trainer of Magic Dance regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Magic Dance last raced on 4th November 2015. Mr.Carr stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following a change of kennels.
A pre-race sample was taken from Magic Dance.
Mr. Banks and Kansas City collided soon after the start checking Kansas City. Brace For Impact and Well Spotted collided soon after the start. I'm Mad checked off Brace For Impact approaching the first turn checking Mr. Banks and Well Spotted. Boris Winslow checked off I'm Mad approaching the first turn. Kansas City checked off I'm Mad approaching the home turn. Magic Dance checked off Brace For Impact on the home turn and crossed to the outside as a result.
Mr. Banks, which performed below market expectations, was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left hock. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Handler, Mr. S. Melville advised stewards that in his opinion the greyhound is more suited to an inside draw.
