Stewards spoke to Mr. P Abela the trainer of Aston Harvey regarding the greyhounds improved time. Mr. Abela stated that the greyhound has been trialling extremely well and he believes the greyhound has untapped ability. Stewards noted Mr. Abelas explanation and directed that a sample be taken. 

Aston Ryder, Gassed Up Devil and Ant Hill Mob were slow to begin.  Mr. Coops and Vintage Box collided soon after the start checking Mr. Coops.  Four Elements and Steel Fury collided soon after the start checking Four Elements.  Vintage Box and Steel Fury collided approaching the first turn checking Steel Fury.  Ant Hill Mob and Steel Fury collided on the first turn checking Steel Fury.  Mr. Coops, Ant Hill Mob and Steel Fury collided entering the home straight checking Vintage Box.  Vintage Box checked off Ant Hill Mob in the home straight and collided with Gassed Up Devil; Gassed Up Devil was checked and Vintage Box was severely checked as a result.

Gone To Texas was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fracture to its right humerous.  A 30 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. C Arthur, the trainer of Magic Buddie regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Magic Buddie last raced on 4th September, 2015 and is returning to racing after sustaining a shoulder injury at its last race start.
