Charlie Three was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained minor abrasions to the left hind leg. No stand down period was imposed.

Hillbilly Bubba was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

Evening Major was quick to begin. Arolok Ollie was slow to begin. Meat Titan crossed to the rail approaching the first turn, checking Evening Major and Sachi. Druid Bale and Meat Titan collided on the first turn, checking Druid Bale. Dream Dazzler and Dontron collided on the first turn, checking Dontron, Quotation Mark and Sachi.  Druid Bale and Arolok Ollie collided on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Stewards spoke to Mr.A.Setford the trainer of Grandis regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Grandis last raced on 3 November 2015. Mr.Setford stated that Grandis was returning to race following an injury to the left hock.

Stewards spoke to handler, Mrs C.Abela regarding her difficulty in boxing the greyhound Aston Cruz. Stewards directed that Aston Cruz be boxed first in future events.

Meeting Comments:

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Ms A.Dailly, the trainer of Zambimaru Bale regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Zambimaru Bale last raced on 20th May, 2015. Ms Dailly stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a left hind fifth toe removal. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Zambimaru Bale trialled over the 450m from box 1, weight 33.0kg, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of five starters. The time of the trial was 25.65, the greyhound won by a margin of 6 lengths. Zambimaru Bale was cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results (Whelping) – Shine trialled over the 450m from box 8, weight 30.2kg, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of five starters. The time of the trial was 25.65, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 6 lengths. Shine was cleared.

Mr R.Moore, trainer of Shine declared a new weight of 30.2kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Shine last raced at 28.2kg.
