Johnny's Return, Customized and Power Burst were slow to begin.  Lunar Shadow crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Duke Of Dallas.  Customized was checked off Paua To Rush soon after the start.  Customized, Power Burst and Mates Blue collided approaching the first turn checking Customized.  Paua To Rush crossed to the rail on the first turn severley checking Duke Of Dallas, Lunar Shadow and Rover.  Power Burst crossed to the rail on the first turn causing Johnny's Return to gallop on Power Burst severely checking both greyhounds.  Lunar Shadow raced wide in the home straight.

Elswyk Max was quick to begin.  Creative Escape was slow to begin.  Odessa Boy faltered approaching the first turn and tailed off.  Warbo was checked off Dr. Sherlock on the first turn.  Dr. Sherlock was held up for a run approaching the home turn.

Odessa Boy was vetted following the event and re-vetted following event 4, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left chest muscle, right triangle muscle and back, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. G Jose, the trainer of Darmody regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Darmody last raced on 7th November, 2015 and is returning to racing after injuring a ligament in the pelvis

Mr. G Jose, trainer of Darmody declared a new weight of 37.3kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Darmody last raced at 36.2kgs.

Johnnie Red, Darmody and Uncle Barney were slow to begin.  Sir Fancy went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.  Darmody was checked off Dee's Diamond approaching the first turn.  Magic Karma and Jett Zafonic collided approaching the first turn checking Jett Zafonic.  Magic Karma and Acey Boy collided approaching the first turn checking Acey Boy.  Jett Zafonic was checked off Magic Karma on the first turn.  Jett Zafonic and Uncle Barney collided approaching the home turn.  Dee's Diamond raced wide in the home straight.

Tub's Tiger and Hurricane Aussie were slow to begin.  Blackjack's Back crossed in soon after the start checking Brandeen Chief, Broah Magic and Sweet Sassafras.  Broah Magic and Sweet Sassafras collided approaching the first turn.  Tub's Tiger clipped the heels of Alejandro on the first turn.  Brandeen Chief and Hurricane Aussie collided approaching the home turn checking Hurricane Aussie which crossed out checking Tub's Tiger.  Broah Magic galloped on Sweet Sassafras on the home turn.  Brandeen Chief raced wide approaching the home turn.

Off The Hip, Prince Nando and Greysynd Chief collided soon after the start checking Prince Nando, Maximum Chez, See Him Run and Margi's Girl.  See Him Run was checked off Prince Nando on the first turn and collided with Margi's Girl.  Maximum Chez and Dr. Ripped collided on the first turn checking Maximum Chez, Dr. Ripped and Prince Nando.

Stewards spoke to Mr. N. Rilen the trainer of Wino Waves regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Wino Waves lasted raced on 13/09/15.  Mr. Rilen stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a broken toe.

Classy Sparks and Wino Waves collided soon after the start.  Marungi Choice and Tommy's Terror collided approaching the first turn checking Tommy's Terror.  Marungi Choice and Jules' Fancy collided approaching the first turn checking Jules' Fancy.  Tommy's Terror was checked off Dash Of Rose on the first turn.  Tommy's Terror and Wino Waves collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight.  Jules' Fancy was checked off Classy Sparks entering the home straight.  Watch This Space raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.

Apache Tears was quick to begin.  Dr. Valhalla was slow to begin.  Erratic Lord and Under Taker collided soon after the start checking Under Taker and Come At Me.  Dr. Valhalla galloped on Flywheel Alfie approaching the first turn checking Dr. Valhalla and Heaps Of Boloney.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. E Johannsen, the representative of Miss Johannsen regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Miss Johannsen last raced on 26th September, 2015 and is returning to racing after fracturing a right hind metacarpal that required surgery. 

Mrs. E Johannsen, representative of Miss Johannsen declared a new weight of 28.4kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Miss Johannsen last raced at 29.5kgs.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J Connor, the trainer of Bubba's Silvia regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Bubba's Silvia last raced on 11th August, 2015 and is returning to racing after having a season. 

Woofenden and Miss Johannsen were slow to begin.  Bubba's Silvia, Greysynd Emma and Willie Gee collided approaching the first turn checking Greysynd Emma and Willie Gee.  Bubba's Silvia was checked off Darcon Dash approaching the first turn.  Greysynd Emma and Willie Gee collided approaching the first turn.  Woofenden was checked off Dr. Klaas on the first turn checking Miss Johannsen and Dr. Brandon.  Bubba's Silvia and Miss Johannsen collided approaching the home turn.  Willie Gee and Greysynd Emma collided in the home straight.  Dr. Brandon was checked off Dr. Klaas approaching the winning post.
