Our Lilly was a late scratching at 2:27pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to illness. A day stand down period was imposed.
Fast Boloney and Blue Blitz collided soon after the start. Hyper Venom and Golden Blaze collided soon after the start. Hyper Venom checked off Golden Blaze on the first turn. Fast Boloney and Golden Blaze collided approaching the home turn. Dom Daisy raced wide on the home turn checking Blue Blitz. Fast Baloney, Hyper Venom and Golden Blaze collided entering the home straight checking all three greyhounds. Dom Daisy and Blue Blitz collided several times in the home straight checking both greyhounds. Fast Baloney and Golden Blaze collided in the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Ryan, handler regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Blue Blitz. Stewards directed that Blue Blitz be boxed first in future events.
