Pepper Shannon was very slow to begin (3L). Lainey's Fortune, Mahjong Rule, Super Stoked and Kalahari Sands collided approaching the first turn checking Mahjong Rule and Super Stoked. Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Clark regarding the direction that the greyhound Cool Boots be boxed first. Acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards directed that this box first be removed.

Dynamo's Gift checked off Horey's Pal in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Camilleri, the trainer of Lister Bale regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Lister Bale last raced on 5th October, 2016.  Mr. Camilleri stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following an injury to the left back muscle.

Lido's Boy was slow to begin. Bank Rogue, Where's Savannah and Allen Varmint collided soon after the start checking Where's Savannah. Allen Varmint and Become The Fuse collided approaching the first turn checking Become The Fuse. Where's Savannah checked off Lido's Boy approaching the first turn. Lister Bale faltered and tailed off on the first turn. Allen Varmint checked off Bank Rogue on the home turn. Lido's Boy checked off Bank Rogue in the home straight checking Allen Varmint and Become The Fuse.

Lister Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left monkey muscle and a possible fractured shoulder. A stand down period of 28 days was imposed.

Ollie Agira was slow to begin. Crook Me Kindly, No Permit and Merv Bale collided soon after the start checking Merv Bale. Lady Beatrix crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking No Permit, Crook Me Kindly and Wings For Woody. Crook Me Kindly, No Permit and Merv Bale collided on the first turn checking No Permit. Crook Me Kindly checked off Wings For Woody on the home turn severely checking Crook Me Kindly and No Permit. Lady Beatrix and Zambora Cash collided in the home straight.

Lady Beatrix was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both deltoid muscles. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr. M. Chilcott, the trainer of Lady Beatrix regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.

Mr. R. Hayes, trainer of Minca Man declared a new weight of 32.7kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Minca Man last raced at 33.9kg.

Rusty's Mate was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hind toe injury a stand down period of 5 days was imposed.

Vanderville was quick to begin. Seabrook Dill and Maximum Owie collided soon after the start. Maximum Owie and Vanderville Kid collided on the first turn.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Hillbilly Bubba trialled over the  425mts from box 1, weight 31.2kg, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 24.51, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 0.5L. Hillbilly Bubba was Cleared.
