A pre race sample was taken from Sharnica.
This race was delayed by approximately 4 minutes due to a greyhound requiring veterinary treatment and a number of greyhounds in this event requiring bandage endorsements being applied by the vet.
Botanic Lass was quick to begin. Veetee Mist checked off Richo Richo Girl approaching the first turn. Richo Richo Girl, Cowrie and Woofenden collided on the first turn severely checking Cowrie and checking Woofenden. Aston Salute checked off Sharnica approaching the home turn. Botanic Lass checked off Sharnica entering the home straight.
Cowrie was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
