Steward's Report
A pre race sample was taken from Black Odessa.
Son Of Steve and Shiro were slow to begin. Legend Jack galloped on Righto Mitch on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Shiro and Maroon Blitz collided on the first turn. Black Odessa and Magic Myer collided entering the home straight. Righto Mitch and Adala Son collided entering the home straight causing Adala Son to race wide as a result. Legend Jack galloped on Black Odessa in the home straight checking both greyhounds. Black Odessa eased approaching the winning post.
Black Odessa was vetted and after being re vetted following event 5, it was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Terry, the trainer of Black Odessa regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post. Mr. Terry stated that in his opinion the greyhound was galloped on in the home straight and was somewhat underdone coming into the event. Stewards noted Mr. Terry's explanation and issued a warning regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post.
