Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mrs. J. Torr, the trainer of Billy Bart regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Billy Bart last raced on 27th November 2016. Billy Bart stated that the greyhound was returning from a left hind broken toe. Mrs. Torr, also declared a new weight of 36.0kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Billy Bart last raced at 34.3kg.
A pre-race sample was taken from Roman Around.
Billy Bart was slow to begin. Loosey Jabna and Tamile Lass collided soon after the start. Full Of Boloney, Gone Rusty and Maximum Strike collided approaching the first turn checking Gone Rusty and Full Of Boloney. Tamile Lass, Loosey Jabna and Gone Rusty collided on the first turn. Heineken Boy and Billy Bart collided on the first turn. Maximum Strike galloped on the heels of Heineken Boy approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Gone Rusty and Maximum Strike collided approaching the home turn. Billy Bart and Tamile Lass collided entering the home straight checking Billy Bart and Loosey Jabna, Loosey Jabna and Gone Rusty collided as a result.
