Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Ms. S. Warde, the representative of Maximum Strike regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Maximum Strike last raced on 30th November 2016 and is returning to race after a left wrist injury.
A pre-race sample was taken from Gold Cup.
Mr. Alfie was slow to begin. Gold Cup and Suzy Nitro collided soon after the start. Dozer Lad and Freedom Fire collided soon after the start and again at the 300 metre mark checking Freedom Fire. Gold Cup checked off Suzy Nitro approaching the 250 metre mark and crossed to the outside as a result. Dozer Lad checked off Freedom Fire approaching the 200 metre mark checking Freedom Fire. Mr. Alfie checked off Gold Cup at the 150 metre mark.
