Cosmic Madness was a late scratching at 7:50am due to injury (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Jack, the trainer of Walt's Star regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Walt's Star last raced on 14th October 2016 and is returning to race after a back left toe injury.

Showtime Chevi and Albert's Patch were slow to begin.  Showtime Chevi crossed to the outside at the 250 metre mark.  Walt's Star and Go Go Danni collided approaching the winning post.

Celtic Charm, Who Told Lindylu and Ribacola collided soon after the start.  Fred's My Name, Jarvis Rhode, Blue Ivy and Ginger Warrior collided soon after the start checking Jarvis Rhode and GInger Warrior.  Blue Ivy checked off Sharnica at the 300 metre mark.  Who Told Lindylu, Ribacola and Jarvis Rhode collided at the 300 metre mark.  Sharnica crossed to the rail at the 300 metre mark.

Wings For Woody and Goldenpaw Flyer were slow to begin.  Magic Rusty crossed to the inside soon after the start and collided with Patchie Kaye, Goldenpaw Flyer and Peter's Pride.  Peter's Pride, Magic Rusty and Mendacious Lad collided at the 250 metre mark and again at the 200 metre mark checking Magic Rusty and Goldenpaw Flyer.  Magic Rusty and Mendacious Lad collided approaching the 150 metre mark checking both greyhounds.

Rhiannon Royale trialled over the 300 metre distance from box 3, weight 27.1kgs.  The greyhound was placed 4th, in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 17.03.  The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 6.75 lengths.  Rhiannon Royale was cleared.
