Steward's Report
She's Exciting was a late scratching at 10.44am on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to illness. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
A pre race sample was taken from Bullocky Bill.
Tommy Two checked off Suave Odessa soon after the start, and crossed to the outside as a result, racing wide throughout the event. Tricky Trey, Bullocky Bill and Suave Odessa collided at the 250m mark, checking Suave Odessa, and severely checking Bullocky Bill.
Bullocky Bill was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the left foreleg. No stand down period was imposed.
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Waycott, the trainer of Hydra regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Hydra last raced on 13th September 2016. Mr. Waycott stated that the grehound was recovering from a back muscle injury. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Hydra trialled over the 300m from box 2, weight 29.2kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of four. The time of the trial was 17.22, the greyhound won by a margin of 1 length. Hydra was Cleared.
