Due to issues with the FastTrack system and having to revert to a manual kennelling proccess, kennels closed approximately 12 minutes late.

Queen Dunroaming was slow to begin. Main Deception, Keisha’s Fantasy and Wishing Angel collided soon after the start, checking Main Deception. Silent Assault crossed to the outside approaching the 200m mark, checking Keisha’s Fantasy, Wishing Angel and Bush Dancer. Wheel And Deal crossed to the rail at the 200m mark. Silent Assault, Wishing Angel and Bush Dancer collided at the 150m mark. Silent Assault checked off Bush Dancer at the 100m mark, checking Bush Dancer. Keisha’s Fantasy and Bush Dancer collided approaching the winning post.

Torh Minter, Moorbel Drive, May’s Melody, Sweet Galo’s and Senor Sensation were slow to begin. Moorbel Drive checked off Torh Minter at the 300m mark. May’s Melody crossed to the outside at the 300m mark. May’s Melody and Senor Sensation collided several times from the 250m mark to the 50m mark. Bush Dash faltered at the 100m mark and lost considerable ground, checking Sweet Galo’s.

Bush Dash was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left sesamoid and both chest muscles, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to B. Brady, the trainer of Cailah Shakey regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Cailah Shakey last raced on 16 December 2016 and is returning after a left metacarpal injury.

Bush Destroyer, Sir Minter and Blue Deception collided soon after the start, checking Bush Destroyer, Sir Minter, Blue Deception and Laurie Galore. Laurie Galore checked off Bush Destroyer at the 300m mark. Bush Destroyer crossed to the outside approaching the 200m mark, checking Blue Deception. 

A sample was taken from Lord Leon – the winner of the event. 

Mr. A. Charleton, trainer of Glib Lightning declared a new weight of 28.8kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Glib Lightning last raced at 27.6kg.

Princess Briana was slow to begin. Lettuce Hold On, Glib Lightning, Goodison Girl, Down Mexico Way and Bush Hero collided soon after the start, checking Lettuce Hold On, Glib Lightning, Goodison Girl and Down Mexico Way. Goodison Girl, Down Mexico Way and Double Deception collided at the 300m mark. Lettuce Hold On and Glib Lightning collided at the 250m mark. Galo’s Best, Bush Hero and Double Deception collided at the 250m mark, checking all three greyhounds. Down Mexico Way and Princess Briana collided at the 150m mark. Glib Lightning and Goodison Girl collided approaching the 100m mark.

Double Deception was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left wrist, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Bling Dynasty and Tom’s Gift were slow to begin. Irish Connection and Bling Dynasty collided at the 300m mark, checking Irish Connection. Deadly Pace, Irish Connection and Bling Dynasty collided approaching the 200m mark, checking all three greyhounds; Irish Connection stumbled as a result.

My Lady Limonite and Pat Me Again were quick to begin and collided soon after the start, checking Blackjack’s Back. Benlura and Blackjack’s Back collided at the 300m mark, checking Benlura. Mister Brown and Pat Me Again collided approaching the 250m mark. Chubby Lane crossed to the outside approaching the 250m mark. Benlura checked off Blackjack’s Back at the 250m mark. Pat Me Again crossed to the rail at the 150m mark. Blackjack’s Back checked off Prime Suspect approaching the winning post.

It's All Talk was a late scratching at 7:35am due to illness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Stewards spoke to A. Terry, the trainer of American Monster regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  American Monster last raced on 22 December 2016 and is returning after a right stopper injury.

American Monster and Kid Carl were slow to begin. Keep Talking checked off Like A Fancy at the 250m mark. American Monster galloped on the heels of Vapour Lee approaching the 200m mark, checking American Monster, which stumbled as a result.

A pre race sample was taken from Jack's Pick.

Two Seasons crossed to the outside soon after the start, and collided with Last Outlaw several times until the 200m mark, checking both greyhounds. Milburn Gold, Jack's Pick and Lonnie Lad collided approaching the 250m mark, checking Jack's Pick and Milburn Gold. Lonnie Lad checked off Petite Senorita approaching the 200m mark. Milburn Gold and Gardot collided at the 150m mark. Gardot checked off Milburn Gold approaching the winning post, checking Milburn Gold.

Freakish Flash and Mon Mekki Kahn collided soon after the start. Karaoke Ken and Onya Anna collided soon after the start, and again at the 300m mark. Mon Mekki Kahn crossed to the rail approaching the 250m mark, checking Bush Princess and Gold Rush Dozer. Gold Rush Dozer, Bush Princess, Ima Ebay and Freakish Flash collided at the 150m mark. Ima Ebay crossed to the rail at the 100m mark, checking Bush Princess and Gold Rush Dozer. 

Peninsula Panda and Anita's Girl collided soon after the start. Bush Ace and Remembering Dad collided soon after the start. Bush Ace, Whacker Fancy and Remembering Dad collided at the 200m mark, checking Bush Ace and Whacker Fancy. Remembering Dad and Little Bit Shiny collided approaching the winning post. 

Emilia Cash, Bambalam Tilly, Kev's Fantasy and Boopa Doop Girl collided soon after the start. Emilia Cash and Bambalam Tilly collided at the 250m mark, checking Emilia Cash, Bambalam Tilly and Kev's Fantasy. Dozer Gold, Emila Cash and Bambalam Tilly collided at the 150m mark. Dozer Gold and Emilia Cash collided approaching the winning post. 

She's Exciting was a late scratching at 10.44am on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to illness. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre race sample was taken from Bullocky Bill.

Tommy Two checked off Suave Odessa soon after the start, and crossed to the outside as a result, racing wide throughout the event. Tricky Trey, Bullocky Bill and Suave Odessa collided at the 250m mark, checking Suave Odessa, and severely checking Bullocky Bill.

Bullocky Bill was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the left foreleg. No stand down period was imposed. 

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Waycott, the trainer of Hydra regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Hydra last raced on 13th September 2016. Mr. Waycott stated that the grehound was recovering from a back muscle injury. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Hydra trialled over the 300m from box 2, weight 29.2kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of four. The time of the trial was 17.22, the greyhound won by a margin of 1 length. Hydra was Cleared.
