Steward's Report
Taabinga Swift, Lizzie Fields and Alloyd Charm were quick to begin. Maroon Blitz was slow to begin. Zipping Tina checked off Taabinga Swift approaching the first turn and stumbled; Zipping Tina jumped the inside rail as a result. Why Not Dawn, Runnin' On Fire and Alloyd Charm collided approaching the first turn checking Why Not Dawn and Runnin' On Fire. Why Not Dawn and Runnin' On Fire collided on the first turn checking Runnin' On Fire. Steel checked off Taabinga Swift on the first turn. Why Not Dawn raced wide on the home turn. Runnin ' On Fire and Alloyd Charm collided entering the home straight checking both greyhounds. Alloyd Charm checked off Steel approaching the winning post.
Zipping Tina was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained minor abrasions to both front legs, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. G. McMillan, the trainer of the greyhound Zipping Tina. Stewards deemed the performance of Zipping Tina unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Zipping Tina must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
