Steward's Report
West Side Jet and Gold Trail collided soon after the start severely checking West Side Jet which stumbled as a result. Gold Trail, Blonde Yappa, Patchie Kaye and Melrose Drive collided approaching the first turn checking Blonde Yappa and Melrose Drive. Calvin Candie checked off Melrose Drive on the first turn. Melrose Drive checked off Calvin Candie approaching the home turn. Gold Trail and Patchie Kaye collided entering the home straight. West Side Jet raced wide entering the home straight.
West Side Jet was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left monkey muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
