Tomdor was slow to begin.  Seeking Stars and Algablew collided soon after the start checking Algablew.  Don's Magic, Carlanna Casey and Star Deli collided approaching the first turn checking Carlanna Casey.  Don's Magic and Awesome Freckles collided approaching the first turn checking Awesome Freckles. Awesome Freckles checked off Algablew on the first turn checking Seeking Stars.  Awesome Freckles and Seeking Stars collided several times on the home turn.  Tomdor raced wide on the home turn.

Carlanna Casey was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to its right hind leg.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Maximum Moo was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right thigh and a spike wound to the left foreleg. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Powerful Senor was vetted and after being re-vetted following event nine, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the long head triceps, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Quinn, the trainer of Slipaway Anna regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Slipaway Anna last raced on 28th November 2016.  Mr. Quinn stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following a torn left back muscle.

Rinaldi, the trainer of Destini Mirror regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Destini Mirror last raced on 5th September 2016.  Ms. Rinaldi stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after an injury to the right stopper bone.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Destini Mirror trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 1, weight 31.6kgs.  The greyhound was placed 2nd, in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 23.14.  The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 2.5 lengths.  Destini Mirror was cleared.

McGuire, the trainer of Pitil Grange regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Pitil Grange participated in a coursing event at Lang Lang on 26th June 2016.  Ms. McGuire stated that the greyhound was new to her kennels.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Pitil Grange trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 7, weight 27.1kgs.  The greyhound was placed 3rd, in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 23.14.  The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 6 lengths.  Pitil Grange was cleared.
