Steward's Report
Precipitate was slow to begin. Royal Knocka and Diamond collided soon after the start. Ultimate Conor and Poppy Pete collided approaching the first turn. Precipitate clipped the heels of Sally's Cookie approaching the first turn, checking Sally's Cookie and severely checking Precipitate which fell as a result. Ultimate Conor, Royal Knocka and Royal Cosmic collided on the first turn, checking Royal Knocka, Sally's Cookie, Royal Cosmic and Diamond. Ultimate Conor marred the running of Royal Cosmic on the second turn, checking Royal Cosmic, Diamond and Sally's Cookie. Royal Cosmic crossed to the rail on the third turn, checking Sally's Cookie.
Precipitate was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left side of the neck, no stand down period was imposed.
Ultimate Conor was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. F. Andrighetto, the trainer of the greyhound Ultimate Conor regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the second turn. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Ultimate Conor with marring. Mr. Andrighetto pleaded guilty to the charge, Ultimate Conor was found guilty and suspended the greyhound for 3 months (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(b), before any future nomination will be accepted.
