May's Melody and Warming Galo's collided on the first turn.Run Tom Run galloped on the heels of Warming Galo's on the first turn severely checking Warming Galo's which stumbled as a result.

Unicorn was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left back muscle and the right triangle. A stand down period of 5 days was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Ryan regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Tanazoo.  Stewards directed that Tanazoo be boxed first in future events.

All Inn Houston was quick to begin. Minotaur was very slow to begin (3L). Awesome Freckles and Heracles collided soon after the start checking Awesome Freckles. Flaming Causeway and Heracles collided in the back straight. Minotaur and Awesome Freckles collided in the back straight. Minotaur and Awesome Freckles collided on the second turn. Phoebe Allen and Awesome Freckles collided approaching the home turn. Minotaur galloped on the heels of Fawntastic Kate entering the home straight severely checking Heracles, Minotaur and Fawntastic Kate, Fawntastic Kate fell as a result. Heracles raced wide in the home straight.

Fawntastic Kate was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the left hind webbing. A stand down period of 14 days was imposed.

Pictish Mark and My Sirion were slow to begin. Daintree Alice, Our Kippy and Elite Swift collided on the first turn checking Our Kippy. Tophat And Tails and Split Chic collided in the back straight. Pictish Mark and Split Chic collided in the back straight. Danny Brook and My Sirion collided in the back straight. Elite Swift and Pictish Mark collided on the second turn checking Pictish Mark. Daintree Alice and Split Chic collided on the home turn. My Sirion and Danny Brok collided entering the home straight.

Mr M. Chilcott was fined the sum of $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound Mister Campo pursuant to GAR 33.

Stewards spoke to Mr D.Jarvis, the trainer of Little Bit Shiny regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. LIttle Bit Shiny last raced on 10th September, 2016. Mr Jarvis stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being new to the kennel. Mr Jarvis also declared a new weight of 25.9kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Little Bit Shiny last raced at 24.6kg.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr D. Bunn, the trainer of Dynamite Dixie regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Dynamite Dixie last raced on 30th May, 2016. Mr Bunn declared a new weight of 28.6kg, Dynamite Dixie last raced at 26.4 kg. Mr. Bunn stated that the greyhound was new to his kennels. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Dynamite Dixie trialled over the 425m from box 1, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of four starters. The time of the trial was 24.51, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 0.25 lengths. Dynamite Dixie was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Ms S. Elmes, the trainer of Avatar Kelso regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Avatar Kelso last raced on 18th August, 2016. Ms. Elmes declared a new weight of 33.1kg, Avatar Kelso last raced at 30.5 kg. Ms. Elmes stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after split webbing to the left back toe and a right wrist injury. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Avatar Kelso trialled over the 425m from box 8, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of four starters. The time of the trial was 24.51, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 0.5 length. Avatar Kelso was Cleared.
