Steward's Report
Russ Will Crowe was a late scratching at 8:19am due to llness (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Toner, the trainer of Tobias Kelton regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Tobias Kelton last raced on 15th November 2016 and is returning to race after an injury to the left hock.
Stewards spoke to Ms. J. Ward, the trainer of Dundee Raptor regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Dundee Raptor last raced on 2nd October 2016 and is returning to race after a change of kennel.
A pre-race sample was taken from Kosmik King.
Premier Macs was quick to begin. West On Xandi crossed to the inside approaching the 250 metre mark and collided with Roshani's Dream. Ego Yar, Roshani's Dream and West On Xandi collided at the 200 metre mark checking Ego Yar, Dundee Raptor and Roshani's Dream and severely checking West On Xandi which stumbled as a result. Dundee Raptor and West On Xandi collided approaching the 150 metre mark. Roshani's Dream and West On Xandi collided at the 100 metre mark.
