First Refusal was slow to begin. Call Me Waylan and In A Spin collided soon after the start. Ziggy Punter checked off First Refusal approaching the first turn. Raweenie galloped on No Shadow Kick checking Ziggy Punter and causing Raweenie, In A Spin and No Shadow Kick to fall. Kalani Shazz and Troy Boyce collided on the home turn.
Raweenie was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured right shoulder. A stand down period of 28 days was imposed.
In A Spin was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the left pelvis and an injury to the left hamstring. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.
