In A Spin was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the left pelvis and an injury to the left hamstring. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.

No Shadow Kick was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right monkey muscle, right deltoid muscle and the right groin muscle. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.

This race was delayed by 2 minutes and 50 seconds due to the late arrival at the boxes. This was caused by a delay in kennelling a greyhound for sampling from the previous race.

Benlura, Nitro Power and Night Hawk collided in the back straight checking Benlura and severely checking Nitro Power. Carve, Brianna Morgan and Eyes On You collided in the back straight. Eyes On You, Brianna Morgan, Night Hawk and Jaycee Plumb collided on the second turn checking Jaycee Plumb. Carve and Night Hawk collided on the home turn. Mr. N. Koutsourakis, trainer of Blanco Canyon declared a new weight of 32.9kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Blanco last raced at 31.7kg. Stewards spoke to Mr. Koutsourakis, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Blanco Canyon last raced on 8th November. Mr. Koutsourakis stated that the greyhound was returning to racing from a spell and was new to the kennels.
