Where Are We was a late scratching at 6:40pm due to non arrival (GAR 31). A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr T.Whitford was fined the sum of $100.
Stress Star was slow to begin. Frozen Nitro and Roshani's Dream collided soon after the start, checking Frozen Nitro. Gold Cup checked off Roshani's Dream approaching the first turn, checking Just Be Patient. Gold Cup checked off Just Be Patient on the first turn, checking Stress Star and Gold Cup and Stress Star raced wide as a result. Frozen Nitro and Just Be Patient collided on the home turn, checking Frozen Nitro. Gold Cup raced wide on the home turn and again in the home straight.
Stress Star was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
