Master Bekim was slow to begin. Cairnlea Flash, Carmyle and Cairnlea Bill collided soon after the start. Sunday Sess, Rise Above It, Cairnlea Flash, Carmyle and Cairnlea Bill collided several times approaching the first turn and again on the first turn, checking Carmyle and Cairnlea Bill. Rise Above It and Cairnlea Flash collided on the second turn, checking Cairnlea Flash. Rise Above It galloped on the heels of El Chana in the back straight, checking both greyhounds. Master Bekim, El Chana, Rise Above It, Cairnlea Flash and Cairnlea Bill collided approaching the third turn, checking Cairnlea Flash, severely checking Rise Above It and Cairnlea Bill. Cairnlea Flash checked off Master Bekim approaching the home turn. Master Bekim and El Chana collided on the home turn, checking El Chana. Cairnlea Flash and Master Bekim collided on the home turn.
