This race was delayed by approximately 5 minutes due to an issue with the photo finish system loading.

Bronte's Choice and Secret Number were slow to begin. Monaleen Mojo was very slow to begin (3 Lengths). Wilbur, Mr Perfect and Mepunga Paddy collided approaching the first turn, checking Wilbur and Mepunga Paddy. Monaleen Mojo and Secret Number collided on the first turn, checking Secret Number. Wilbur checked off Stocktake on the first turn, checking Bronte's Choice. Bronte's Choice and Monaleen Mojo collided approaching the home turn, severely checking both greyhounds. Wilbur and Secret Number collided on the home turn, checking Secret Number. Mepunga Paddy and Mr Perfect collided several times in the home straight, checking both greyhounds.

Mr Perfect was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the right back toe. No stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards issued a warning to Mr. A. Richardson, the trainer of Mr Perfect regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. 

I'll Be Back and Cheryl's Boy were slow to begin. Sea Mist, Pay The Boo and Tally Ho Len collided soon after the start, checking Pay The Boo. Destini Baritone and Tally Ho Len collided approaching the first turn, checking Tally Ho Len. Sea Mist and Foxy Fern collided on the first turn, checking Foxy Fern and I'll Be Back. I'll Be Back checked off Foxy Fern approaching the home turn. Pay The Boo and Tally Ho Len collided entering the home straight, checking Tally Ho Len. Tally Ho Len and Foxy Fern raced wide in the home straight. Pay The Boo and Destini Baritone collided approaching the winning post.

Ninja Fighter and Tally Ho Jack were slow to begin. Lacey's Lad crossed to the rail approaching the first turn, checking Yucatan, Bookie and Ninja Fighter. Bookie and Yucatan collided approaching the first turn, checking Bookie. Ninja Fighter galloped on the heels of Alyssa's Girl approaching the first turn, checking Yucatan and severely checking Ninja Fighter and Alyssa's Girl, causing both greyhounds to stumble. Lacey's Lad, Yucatan and Quotation Mark raced wide in the home straight. Tally Ho Jack and Moreira Magic collided in the home straight. Tally Ho Jack and Bookie collided approaching the winning post. 

Ninja Fighter was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained spike wounds to the left front webbing. No stand down period was imposed. 

Alyssa's Girl was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained sand burn to the left back leg and split webbing to the left back paw, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Magic Reindeer was quick to begin. Fabulous Mac, Mugs Away and Arolok Hobo were slow to begin. Just A Wish checked off Aston Morris approaching the first turn. Drop A Clanger galloped on the heels of Magic Reindeer approaching the home turn, checking both greyhounds. Aston Morris severely checked off Drop A Clanger on the home turn. Dunbro Charlie and Arolok Hobo collided entering the home straight.

Quizzical crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Taz's Man and severely checking  Sweeping Strikes. Cairnlea Deano galloped on the heels of Fascinated on the first turn, checking Fascinated. Taz's Man checked off Quizzical entering the home straight.

Tear Away Kuda faltered approaching the first turn and collided with Maximum Bella, Tear Away Kuda subsequently tailed off. Pretty Boy Grigg checked off Valletta Chief approaching the home turn. Hard Bargain checked off Kosmik King approaching the home turn. Who's That Chap and Pretty Boy Grigg collided entering the home straight, checking Pretty Boy Grigg. Pretty Boy Grigg and Kosmik King collided approaching the winning post. 

Tear Away Kuda was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both hamstrings, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Velvet Hammer and Senor Laurie collided soon after the start, cheking Velvet Hammer.

Belena Jake was quick to begin. Blue Rocket was slow to begin. Belena Jake, Silvertop, Crackerjack Cam and Jimmy Who collided soon after the start, checking Crackerjack Cam. Psychotic Bob and Belena Jake collided approaching the home turn, checking Belena Jake. Blue Rocket and Psychotic Bob collided approaching the home turn. Crackerjack Cam, Belena Jake and Blue Boy raced wide entering the home straight. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. W. Grey, the trainer of Why Not Sue regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Why Not Sue last raced on 2nd November 2015. Mr. Grey stated that the greyhound was recovering from a right hamstring injury.

Tally Ho Billy, Why Not Sue and Aston Asteroid collided on the first turn, checking all three greyhounds. Angel Of Glory and Ravel collided on the first turn, checking Ravel. Tally Ho Billy raced wide entering the home straight, and again in the home straight. 

Tally Ho Billy was vetted following the event. It was report that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left hamstring and sand burn to the left back paw, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Compelling was quick to begin. Thunder Raz was slow to begin. Cruisen Billy galloped on the heels of Compelling on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Thunder Raz checked off Maximum Chez on the first turn. Cosmic Shiraz and Monster Deeds collided on the first turn, checking Cosmic Shiraz. Cruisen Billy raced wide on the home turn. Maximum Chez checked off Compelling in the home straight. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. T. Britton, the handler of Allen Portland regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Allen Portland last raced on 29th August 2015.  Mr. Britton stated that the greyhound was recovering from a left metacarpal injury.

Iconic Rock was quick to begin. Suspicious Sam and Ella Rhode collided soon after the start, checking Ella Rhode. Suspicious Sam crossed to the rail approaching the first turn, checking Altesse, Allen Portland, Judy’s Wish and Thomeli Roar. Thomeli Roar and Altesse collided on the first turn, checking Altesse, and severely checking Thomeli Road, which contacted the running rail. Thomeli Roar and Judy’s Wish collided on the first turn, checking Thomeli Roar. Miss Utamurra, Suspicious Sam and Ella Rhode collided approaching the home turn, checking Suspicious Sam and Ella Rhode. Thomeli Roar and Judy’s Wish collided on the home turn, checking Judy’s Wish. Altesse raced wide entering the home straight.
