A pre-race sample was taken from Memphis Jookin'.
Money Come Back, Allen Membo and Dawkins Bale were slow to begin. Memphis Jookin', Money Come Back and Allen Membo collided soon after the start. Dawkins Bale crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Memphis Jookin'. Igor Karkaroff and Lektra Utopia collided approaching the second turn checking Lektra Utopia and Allen Membo. Lektra Utopia crossed to the outside entering the home straight checking Money Come Back and Allen Membo.
