Channing Bale was a late scratching at 6:37PM due to non arrival (GAR 31). a 28 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Heather Collins was fined the sum of $100.
A pre race sample was taken from Irish Sprite.
Shellington was slow to begin.
Just In Hodges and Irish Sprite collided soon after the start checking Just In Hodges. Shellington, Sachi and Highfield La La collided approaching the first turn severely checking Shellington which contacted the running rail as a result. Shades Of Sassy checked off Avatar Halo on the first turn. Avatar Halo checked off Irish Sprite on the first turn. Just In Hodges checked off Avatar Halo on the first turn. Avator Halo checked off Irish Sprite approaching the home turn. Just In Hodges and Sachi collided several times in the home straight.
Shellington was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound suffered a tail injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
