Allen Don and Stormy Seas were slow to begin.  Allen Elway and Sally Bale collided soon after the start.  Allen Don and Allen Elway collided approaching the first turn.  Allen Don checked off the heels of Allen Elway on the first turn.  Sally Bale and Facts Don't Lie collided approaching the home turn,checking Allen Elway and  severely checking Allen Don, causing Facts Don't Lie to falter and pull up, and resulting in Sally Bale falling.  Hippy Allen and Allen Jono collided in the home straight.

Facts Don't Lie was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left foreleg wrist injury, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Dr Gigaus and Dyna Lassie collided soon after the start, checking Dr Gigaus.  Dr Gigaus and Allen Barnett collided approaching the first turn.  Rapidfire Rita and Charlotte Allen collided on the first turn, checking Dyna Lassie and Dr Gigaus.  Allen Arlovski and Ginny Allen collided on the first turn, checking Ginny Allen and Allen Barnett.  Charlotte Allen raced wide on the home turn.  Dr Gigaus checked off Dyna Lassie in the home straight.

Dr Gigaus was vetted following an incident in the catching pen.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a carpal fracture to the right wrist, and was humanely euthanased.

Lilly Shan was slow to begin.  Thera Cee and Tristesse collided soon after the start, checking Tristesse.  Zulu Success, Spin That Wheel and Lashil collided soon after the start, checking Spin That Wheel.  Lashil, Thera Cee and Tristesse collided approaching the first turn, checking Thera Cee.  Lashil, Lilly Shan and Tristesse collided on the first turn.  Tristesse raced wide on the home turn, checking Lilly Shan.

Spin That Wheel, which trailled the field throughout was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a back muscle injury, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Pictures To Burn was a late scratching at 9:32 am on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to injury to the right fibula.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Rapanui Revival was slow to begin.  Lady Avenger, Serendipitous and Brae's Bullet were quick to begin.  Brae's Bullet checked off Serendipitous soon after the start.  Nolen's Fortune and Brae's Bullet collided approaching the first turn, checking Rapanui Revival.  Lady Avenger and Serendipitous collided several times approaching the first turn, causing Lady Avenger to brush the running rail.  Brae's Bullet checked off Nolen's Fortune approaching the first turn, checking Rapanui Revival and Warrion Warrior.  Nolen's Fortune checked off Miss An Earn on the first turn, checking Rapanui Revival and Brae's Bullet.  Nolen's Fortune and Warrion Warrior collided approaching the home turn.  Serendipitous and Missed An Earn collided several times approaching the home turn.  Warrion Warrior galloped on the heels of Serendipitous entering the home straight, severely checking Serendipitous.

Serendipitous was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Allen Quake and Molly Chapta collided soon after the start, checking Molly Chapta.  One Required, Lunar Shadow and Down In Mexico collided approaching the first turn.  One Required and Lunar Shadow collided several times approaching the first turn, checking One Required.  Lunar Shadow raced wide on the first turn.  Allen Quake raced wide entering the home straight.  Mako and Sugar Hit Heidi collided approaching the winning post.

La Reina was quick to begin.  Dyna Elias and Rapanui Rebel collided soon after the start.  Louis Mini Girl and Ginza Lion collided approaching the first turn.  Eat My Shorts checked off the heels of La Reina on the first turn.  Dyna Elias and Rapanui Rebel collided on the first turn.  Dyna Elias checked off Eat My Shorts approaching the home turn and raced wide.  Eat My Shorts and Dyna Elias collided entering the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr J Collins, the representative of the greyhound Allen Kappa.  Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (Cramp), Stewards directed that the greyhound must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.
