Lion Rebel was quick to begin. Dr. Valhalla and He Shall Fred were slow to begin. Why Not Mick and Paula Mechelle collided approaching the first turn. Paula Mechelle was checked off Meteor Thunder on the first turn. Why Not Mick was checked off Paula Mechelle on the first turn, Why Not Mick faltered and lost ground as a result. Paula Mechelle was checked off Meteor Thunder on the home turn causing Paula Mechelle to race wide.
Why Not Mick was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right back muscle, a 60 day stand down period was imposed.
