The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Swiftly Swift and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 6:00pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer M. Edwards was fined the sum of $100.

Go Go Guru and Foxzami Insider were slow to begin.  Ellen's Stardust crossed in approaching the first turn checking San Pablo.  Knew It and Foxzami Insider collided approaching the first turn checking Knew it.  Go Go Guru, Roland View and Knew It collided on the first turn severely checking Roland View.  Ellen's Stardust and San Pablo collided approaching the home turn, on the home turn and again entering the home straight checking Ellen's Stardust. Kaycee Sprinter and Go Go Guru collided entering the home straight.

Temujin and Swift Ruby were quick to begin.  Evelyn, Inter Sam and Ringading Bling collided soon after the start checking Inter Sam and Ringading Bling.  Ballistic Beauty and Evelyn collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Maybe Hannibal and Evelyn collided on the first turn checking Evelyn.  Ballistic Beauty and Evelyn collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Inter Sam raced wide in the home straight.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Spotted Opal upon arrival on course, prior to kennelling, a pre-race sample was subsequently taken.

Bella Ha Ha was quick to begin.  Zipping Kirby and Spotted Opal were slow to begin.  Betta Bale, Propensity and Dr. Peregrine collided approaching the first turn checking Dr. Peregrine.  Zipping Kirby, Bella Ha Ha and Mate Bale collided on the first turn checking Bella Ha Ha, Dr. Peregrine and Betta Bale and severely checking Mate Bale.  Spotted Opal was checked off Bella Ha Ha on the home turn, Spotted Opal lost ground as a result.  Bella Ha Ha and Dr. Peregrine collided entering the home straight.

Zipping Maisy and Fugitive Bale were slow to begin.  Zipping Maisy, It's My Secret and Tuffy Bale collided approaching the first turn checking Zipping Maisy and Tuffy Bale.  Tuffy Bale was checked off It's My Secret approaching the first turn.  Lainey's Fortune was checked off Bumble Bee Bolto approaching the first turn checking Allen Mike.  It's My Secret and Tuffy Bale collided on the first turn checking It's My Secret.  Allen Mike clipped the heels of Lainey's Fortune approaching the home turn.  Zipping Maisy was checked off Tuffy Bale approaching the home turn.  Fugitive Bale and Lainey's Fortune collided entering the home straight.  Tuffy Bale and Allen Mike collided entering the home straight and again in the home straight checking both greyhounds.

Jake and Jupiter Jones were slow to begin.  Dundee Fury was very slow to begin. (3 lengths).  Jake and Jupiter Jones collided soon after the start.  Cement Socks and Black Pontiac collided soon after the start checking Cement Socks.  Halo Express and Black Pontiac collided approaching the first turn causing Halo Express to fall.  Charly Shu Shine was checked off Black Pontiac approaching the first turn.

Halo Express was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right triangle muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Elswyk Max and Monster Roar were quick to begin.  Why Not Barrel was slow to begin.  Elswyk Max and Wild Angel collided soon after the start.  Elswyk Max, Wild Angel and Papa Chippy collided approaching the first turn checking Papa Chippy and Mizuki.  Elswyk Max was checked off Wild Angel entering the home straight, Elswyk Max and Papa Chippy collided as a result causing Elswyk Max to lose ground.

Lion Rebel was quick to begin.  Dr. Valhalla and He Shall Fred were slow to begin.  Why Not Mick and Paula Mechelle collided approaching the first turn.  Paula Mechelle was checked off Meteor Thunder on the first turn.  Why Not Mick was checked off Paula Mechelle on the first turn, Why Not Mick faltered and lost ground as a result.  Paula Mechelle was checked off Meteor Thunder on the home turn causing Paula Mechelle to race wide.

Acquainted was slow to begin.  Son Of Steve and Acquainted collided soon after the start.  Acquainted and Emperor Cruz collided on the first turn checking Emperor Cruz and Son Of Steve.  Interlaken and Emperor Cruz collided approaching the home turn checking Interlaken.  Jimmy's Angel and Acquainted collided approaching the winning post.

Interlaken was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a sand toe on the left front foot and spike wounds to both metatarsals, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Bruiser Senor was slow to begin.  Johnny's Return, Neo Ha Ha, Bruiser Senor and Landon collided on the first turn checking Neo Ha Ha and Bruiser Senor.  Zelemar Zest and He Shall Johnny collided approaching the home turn checking Zelemar Zest.  He Shall Johnny contacted the running rail approaching the home turn.  Neo Ha Ha was checked off He Shall Johnny approaching the home turn.

Zelemar Zest was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Bruiser Senor was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left monkey muscle and a spike wound to the right hock, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Satisfactory trial result:-

Titanium Boy trialled over 400 metres from box 1, weight 32.5kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 23.17 secs, the greyhound won by a margin of 4 lengths.  Titanium Boy was cleared.
