Steward's Report
A pre race sample was taken from Tally Ho Billy.
Djays Larry, Tally Ho Billy and Zabimaru Bale collided soon after the start checking Djays Larry and Zabimaru Bale. Tally Ho Billy checked off Zabimaru Bale approaching the first turn. Slipaway Simba and Emi's Boy Murph collided approaching the first turn checking Slipaway Simba. Emi's Boy Murph, Slipaway Simba and Take Fright collided approaching the first turn checking Take Fright and Slipaway Simba. Take Fright checked off Emi's Boy Murph on the first turn. Djays Larry raced wide entering the home straight. Tally Ho Billy raced wide in the home straight. Emi's Boy Murph and Don's Racer collided near the winning post.
Emi's Boy Murph was vetted followng the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right thigh and a spike wound to its left hind toe. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Dunne the representative of Emi's Boy Murph regarding an incident near the winning post. After viewing the film and taking evidence from Mr Dunne and acting on their own observations, Stewards could not be fully satisified that an offence occurred prior to the winning post and no further action was taken.
