Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Fleming, the trainer of Bush Dancer regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Bush Dancer last raced on 15th September 2016.  Mr. Fleming stated the greyhound was resuming racing following an extended spell.

Mr. N. Rinaldi, trainer of Destini Colorado declared a new weight of 35.5kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Destini Colorado last raced at 34.4kgs.

Yeah Nah Redge, Riverdale Tarzan and Bush Ace were slow to begin.  Destini Colorado and Just Crystal collided approaching the first turn checking Just Crystal.  Carlanna Kervon and Destini Colorado collided approaching the first turn checking Destini Colorado and Cup Half Full.  Carlanna Kervon and Bush Dancer collided on the first turn checking Riverdale Tarzan and severely checking Bush Dancer.  Destini Colorado and Cup Half Full collided on the first turn.  Bush Dancer and Destini Colorado collided entering the home straight.  Just Crystal and Riverdale Tarzan collided in the home straight.  Bush Dancer and Destini Colorado collided in the home straight.

Bush Dancer was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Steppin' Out, Duty Sheet and Late Arrival collided soon after the start.  Tribal Fusion galloped on the heels of Alyssa's Girl approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Duty Sheet and Maximum Joan collided on the first turn checking Duty Sheet.  Maximum Joan raced wide on the home turn.

Phoebe Allen was a late scratching at 11:28am by Order of Stewards. At a subsequent inquiry Stewards charged Trainer, Mr R.Camilleri under GAR 86(o) in that he failed to present Phoebe Allen for its engagement which in the opinion of the Stewards was negiligent. Mr Camilleri pleaded guilty to the charge, Stewards found Mr Camilleri guilty and fined him the sum of $250.00.

Acola Rimfire, Beksun and Windsor Reign were slow to begin.  Beksun and Windsor Reign collided soon after the start checking Windsor Reign.  Blood Moon and Saint Madam colided on the first turn checking Blood Moon.  Destini Laredo checked off Game Spirit in the back straight.  Game Spirit checked off Blood Moon on the second turn checking Destini Laredo.  Windsor Reign and Destini Laredo collided entering the home straight.  Game Spirit raced wide entering the home straight.

Djays Larry raced wide entering the home straight.  Tally Ho Billy raced wide in the home straight.  Emi's Boy Murph and Don's Racer collided near the winning post.

Emi's Boy Murph was vetted followng the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right thigh and a spike wound to its left hind toe.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Dunne the representative of Emi's Boy Murph regarding an incident near the winning post. After viewing the film and taking evidence from Mr Dunne and acting on their own observations, Stewards could not be fully satisified that an offence occurred prior to the winning post and no further action was taken.

He's Your Mate and Destini Baby collided soon after the start checking He's Your Mate.  Destini Seahorse, Ken's Thunderin' and Irish Asteria collided approaching the first turn checking Irish Asteria.  Pason Sander checked off Ken's Thunderin' in the back straight.  He's Your Mate and Ken's Thunderin' raced wide in the home straight.

Patchie Kate was a late scratching at 11:00am  on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to injury to the left foreleg.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Major Dollar was quick to begin.  Billy Lid, American Charm and Bedlum collided soon after the start checking Billy Lid and American Charm.  Bedlum and Powerful Senor collided on the first turn checking Powerful Senor.  Powerful Senor, Heineken Girl and Bev's Girl collided on the home turn checking Bev's Girl. American Charm and Heineken Girl collided entering the home straight checking Heineken Girl.

Mr. Late was a late scratching at 11:13am due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Mr. D. Basile was fined the sum of $100.

Ming Men Shen was quick to begin.  Captain Pete was very slow to begin (2 lengths).  Rayvon and Oscar collided approaching the first turn checking Oscar. Oscar checked off Rayvon on the first turn.  Oh Lele Peter checked off Quink approaching the home turn.  Quink checked off Oscar on the home turn.  Quink and Oh Lele Peter collided entering the home straight.

Bob On was a late scratching at at 7:42am due to injury to the left hind leg (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Cosmic Lady checked off Platinum Force soon after the start.  Begin Again, Tanjira and Mistel Allen collided approaching the first turn.  King Of Sunshine and Cosmic Lady collided on the first turn checking Cosmic Lady.  Platinum Force galloped on the heels of Cosmic Lady on the first turn checking Cosmic Lady and Mistel Allen.  Cosmic Lady, Mistel Allen and Platinum Force collided approaching the home turn checking all three greyhounds.  King Of Sunshine and Tanjira collided on the home turn.

Stewards spoke to Ms. K. Collyer, the trainer of West On Xandi regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  West On Xandi last raced on 29th June 2016.  Ms. Collyer stated that the greyhound was returning to race after a right wrist injury.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, West On Xandi trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 1, weight 26.8kgs.  The greyhound was placed 3rd, in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 22.78.  The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 3.5 lengths. West On Xandi was cleared.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Abela, the representative of the greyhound Oakleigh Rose regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Oakleigh Rose last raced on 22nd July 2016.  Mr. Abela stated that the greyhound was returning to race after being on season.  Pursuant to GAR 77A.  Oakleigh Rose trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 3, weight 30.1kgs.  The greyhound was placed 1st, in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 22.78.  The greyhound won by a margin of 2.75 lengths.  Oakleigh Rose was cleared.

Fetty Wap trialled over the 450 metre distance from box 1, weight 31.5kgs.  The greyhound was placed 1st, in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 26.28. The greyhound won by a margin of 1.75 lengths.  Fetty Wap was cleared.
