Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Carter, the trainer of Radio Silent regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Radio Silent last raced on 15th October, 2016. Mr. Carter stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being on season. Mr. Carter also declared a new weight of 28.0kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Radio Silent last raced at 26.9kg.

Stolen, Dewana Special and Zipping Hawk collided soon after the start checking Dewana Special. Gunmetal Rebel and Trov's Gem collided on the first turn. Gunmetal Rebel and Dewana Special collided approaching the home turn checking Dewana Special. Gunmetal Rebel and Dewana Special collided entering the home straight.
A sample was taken from Trov's Gem, placed third in the event.
