Pursuant to GAR 104(6) Parade Miss T. Smyth did not act in any official capacity for this event.
A pre- race sample was taken from Sisco Knight.
Sisco Knight and Rotter Damm were slow to begin.
Dundee Tango and Dottie Fields collided soon after the start. Rotter Damm checked off Dottie Fields approaching the first turn checking Dundee Tango. Dundee tango and Sisco Knight collided on the first turn severely checking Dundee Tango. Dottie Fields and Toff collided on the first turn. Rotter Damm and Toff collided approaching the second turn checking Sisco knight. Dottie Fields checked off Kyante approaching the second turn. Kyante, Dottie Fields and Deflection collided on the second turn checking Kyante and Deflection. Dottie crossed out and marred Toff approaching the home turn, on the home turn and in the home straight.
Dottie Fields was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr J. Thompson, the trainer of the greyhound Dottie Fields regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Dottie Fields with marring. Mr Thompson pleaded guilty to the charge, Dottie Fields was found guilty and suspended the greyhound for 3 months (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(b), before any future nomination will be accepted.
A sample was taken from My Miss Molly - winner of the event.
Outside temperature was 27.0 degrees at the conclusion of this event. The meeting was deemed not heat affected.
