Dr. Gidget was slow to begin and checked off Night Attack soon after the start.  Shadale and Renew collided on the first.  Renew and Nigh Attack collided on the first turn severely checking Night Attack which stumbled lost ground and tailed off.

Night Attack was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left carpal sprain, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Just Teefa was vetted following event 9. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left hind toe fracture, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Mr A. Scott, trainer of Beljay Galaxy declared a new weight of 33.5kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Beljay Galaxy last raced at 32.3kgs.

Call Me Matt and Beaumont collided soon after the start.  Beaumont and Ninth Legion collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Beaumont and severely checking Ninth Legion.  Monster Machine and Rosanna collided on the first turn.  Rosanna checked off Beaumont approaching the second turn.  Monster Machine checked off Aston Zeppo on the third turn.  Call Me Matt and Mr. Pendles collided approaching the home turn.  Beaumont and Maggie's Alone collided approaching the winning post.  Beaumont eased on the finish line.

Beaumont was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr W. McMahon, the trainer of the greyhound Beaumont regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the finish line. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Beaumont with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr McMahon pleaded guilty to the charge, Beaumont was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Thompson, the trainer of the greyhound Dottie Fields regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Dottie Fields with marring.  Mr Thompson pleaded guilty to the charge, Dottie Fields was found guilty and suspended the greyhound for 3 months (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(b), before any future nomination will be accepted.

A sample was taken from My Miss Molly - winner of the event.

Outside temperature was 27.0 degrees at the conclusion of this event. The meeting was deemed not heat affected.
