Destini Tweed and Monoak were quick to begin.
Big Boy Rocket, Pure Cascade and Yad Mai collided soon after the start, checking Pure Cascade. Riverdale Tarzan and Big Boy Rocket collided soon after the start, checking Riverdale Tarzan. Cathy's Tiger and Andy's Gem collided approaching the first turn. Cathy's Tiger checked off Yad Mai approaching the home turn and raced wide as a result. Destini Tweed and Monoak collided approaching the winning post.
Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Dale Dawson regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Yad Mai. Stewards directed that Yad Mai be boxed first in future events.
