Mahlo Ushuaia was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

Secret High was a late scratching at 5.07am due to injury (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Proud Phoenix was a late scratching at 12:33PM due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Iron Vee and Dr. Marshmellow were slow to begin. Dr. Condor, Westcoast Boy and Iron Vee collided soon after the start. Dr. Condor and Westcoast Boy collided at the 300 metre mark. Stewards spoke to Mr. D.Dawson, the trainer of Diamond's Sing regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Diamond's Sing last raced on 19th August, 2016. Mr. Dawson stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being on season. Mr. Dawson also declared a new weight of 24.2kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Diamond's Sing last raced at 25.4kgs.

Okay Alpha was slow to begin. Okay Alpha and Mendacious Lad collided at the 250 metre mark. Okay Alpha, Mendacious Lad and Dr. Dunstan collided at the 150 metre mark. Okay Alpha and Mendacious Lad collided approaching the 100 metre mark. Mendacious Lad and Diamond's Sing collided approaching the winning post. 

Sonic Fantasy, Pappa Gallo and Spoil The Party were slow to begin. Sonic Fantasy, Sonic Pirate and Lil' Feisty collided at the 300 metre mark.

Cruella Deville and Dr. Phil collided approaching the 200 metre mark. Dr. Phil crossed to the inside and collided with Dr. Balboa at the 150 metre mark, checking Dr. Balboa.
